6TH SEMINAR SELL OUT
1 February 2012
Last Thursday 26th January, we held the sixth seminar in our Landlord Seminar series at the Institute of Directors. The evening began with a presentation by a member of the Green Deal Demand Team from the Department for Environment and Climate Change. Emma Bulmer talked about how this new legislation would affect homeowners across the UK and how best to prepare your property for the upcoming changes.
Next, Robert Nichols spoke about the implications of 'Olympic Lets' for landlords wishing to rent out their properties during this period. The presentation highlighted all the pitfalls to be aware of and ultimately attempted to answer the question: "Do short lets make sense for landlords?"
The last talk was given by Neil Nichols and Richard Blanco from the NLA. It raised questions about whether London was still a good place to invest and the capital and rental growth prospects for London in the future, highlighting yield increases in certain boroughs.
It was a great evening with our best turnout yet of around 140 attendees. If anyone would like the presentation notes from the seminar, please contact Anna Biddle on a.biddle@edmundcude. Details of our next seminar will be posted on our website soon so watch this space!
